What a charter actually covers.
The captain, the fuel and the gear are all part of the charter. Anything else you want aboard for the day, ask when you book and we will sort it out then.
A USCG-licensed captain
Every charter runs with a licensed captain aboard. You are not chartering a bareboat and you do not need any boating experience: turn up, step on, and the running of the boat is handled for you.
Fuel for the day
Fuel is part of the charter rather than a number that moves depending on how far you decide to go. The tanks hold 198 gallons, which is more range than a day on Tampa Bay asks for.
Water toys and a swim platform
The teak swim platform folds down at anchor and the floats come with the boat, so a sandbar stop is already equipped when you step aboard.

The things people ask before booking.
How many people can come aboard?
Six guests, plus the captain running the boat. The cockpit seats the group together under an opening glass hardtop, so six is a comfortable number aboard rather than a squeeze.
How long is a charter?
Three lengths. The half day is four hours, the full day is eight, and the sunset cruise is two and a half hours timed so you are on the water through golden hour.
Where do we leave from?
The downtown St. Petersburg waterfront, at Demens Landing. It is about ten minutes from the slip to open water, so almost none of your charter is spent getting out of the marina.
Where can we go?
Shell Key sandbar and Egmont Key are the two most requested, both reachable well inside a half day. A full day opens up open-water Gulf cruising and a run under the Sunshine Skyway. Tell the captain what kind of day you want and the route follows from that.
Can we swim and anchor up?
Yes, and most charters do. The boat anchors off the sandbar in waist-deep water, the swim platform comes down, and you stay as long as the tide allows.
Do we need boating experience?
None. The captain handles docking, navigation and anchoring. Your only decisions are where you want to stop and how long you want to stay there.
